They called & said they were the Goverment Grant Company, and we had been choosen for basically a 3500.00 Dollar gift, since we had never had a forclosure or repossession on my credit. There was only going to be a ONE-TIME payment fee of 29.95. And that 2oo. Oo Dollars would automatically be deducted to go to a charity of my choice.
I was also told the money would be there 2-3 days later. At first I refused, but they were very persistant, calling me 10 times a day from different numbers, saying how great the money would be with the coming holidays, & how we could put it towards a house.
So, I gave them my account information, and waited. They took out the $29.95 then $299.95, & another $19.95. I called them to retrieve my money, & was laughed at. They were very rude and said they owed us nothing, but since we "subscribed" they would "cancel" our info, & NO more money would come out. A week later they took another $19.95 out of my account.
So far I am out $349.85. Be very careful of this company. I got ripped off.
