We received a letter in the mail along with a check for $4880.00. The letter stated that we had won $250,000.00 and the check was to cover taxes on the winnings. We were to deposit the check, call to confirm the deposit, and wire them $2985.00 to cover the exact amount of the taxes.
This is a SCAM! They want you to wire them the money, and then the bogus check they sent will bounce. You will be out $2985. Do NOT call them if you receive a letter from them.
