Terry l. Goodyear of northeast integrity came to my business on july 8. He told me that we would soon be required to have a check processing system in place to accept checks from customers. The check 21 act had recently been made a law & he assured me that this was the next step in banking. I found out later that this was a lie.
I signed a contract that day to have the service. I never received a "right of rescission" form.
In discussing the matter approximately a year later with a provider of credit card processing, i learned that under pa state law, i should have had 3 days to cancel the contract. The credit card processor offered to be my advocate in resolving the issue. That never happened.
I contacted integrity to complain & received by fax not the right of rescission form but a consent form with my signature & initials forged on it.
The leasing company was still taking the payment out of the checking account each month.
This past may, i switched accounting firms & the owner of the new firm advised me to simply close the existing checking account & open a new one to avoid the continued payments to mbf leasing. We also disconnected the scanner.
I sent letters to mbf leasing informing them of my complaint & got the response that i signed a contract & still owed money every month. I offered to return the equipment. They are threatening to send the matter to a collection agency.
