I was advised to start rebuilding my credit after a bankruptcy by getting a credit card from Orchard Bank in CA. I applied for and received the card, but something told me to check them out before using it.
So, I came to this website, and after reading all the horrendous reports about them I decided to cancel the unused credit card. I cut the card in half and sent it back to them within a week of receiving it, (their pamphlet said I had 90 days to cancel) along with a formal letter of cancellation. I sent it by registered mail and I have the receipt that they got it.
Now, I'm getting billed $130.00 plus big late fees every month, along with harrassing phone calls. For what? I never even used the card. I had it for less than a week! What the heck are they doing?
I just throw the bills away unopened now, and I hang up on them when they call - but this is ridiculous! They don't have a leg to stand on. Evidently, they have nothing better to do than harrass people for no reason.
Boy am I glad I never used the card. I can only imagine what would have happened if I had. (So much for rebuilding my credit!)
Thanks to everyone for all the negative reports here about them.
