I took out a loan with Titlemax in November. Basically I was strapped for cash and needed the money to pay my rent and utilities. I took a loan out in the amount of $2,000.in the whole year I payed atleast $200 or more a month to this company.
$200 (Multiplied) by 12 = $2,400
In one year, I should have already had my loan paid off.
I am still sitting here trying to pay them off. I have not been late once and I have always paid, even when I didnt have the money to give.
I am now 17 days late on my account and I got a voice mail left on my phone today stating that if I did not come in and pay my account in full, then I could either turn my car in, or wait until a police officer pulled me over and at that time they said that I have a warrant out for my arrest for not paying and being 17 days late.
Can this really happen to me?
I have a child, and my husband has been out of work because of layoffs and such. I am going to be evicted from my apartment on November 15th, and Titlemax I think should work with me here. I have been nothing but a loyal customer to them, and they are trying to mess with me with a warrant?
What should I do?
