My husband Justin and I were very hard up and living in Ventura, California. Justin has a natural knack for sales and has been wanting to start his own business. He ran into some people working for this scum bag Luigi at a local shopping plaza and they got him all excited about getting a job and being able to open his own location if he could quickly progress in sales, which we were sure he could do.
Justin went to the NTSX office, which was located in Ventura at the time - I see it may have moved now - and got and "Interview" talked to Luigi and Luigi, learning that we were hard up, offered us a place to stay. An apartment he owns in Camarillo. He said it was a 2 bedroom apartment with two baths - which was true - and that he hoped we didn't mind "room mates".
So we assumed that sure there must be a couple other people staying there too, but there was room for us to stay for a short time, since Justin would be getting cash daily doing sales, we could get our own place quickly.
When we got there with our stuff, we ended up sleeping on the living room floor on a mat. Two other people were sleeping on a couch bed in the living room, one person was sleeping on a loveseat in the living room, and the two guys that had been there longest, Anthony and Rocky, each had a bedroom and girlfriends staying there. Sometimes another guy, Adam, who worked for Luigi sporadically, would show up and sleep in another corner of the living room.
All the people there used drugs, crystal meth mostly and a lot of marijuana. Anthony was a black guy who lived there. He smoked crack and was a Neo-Nazi! He had a pet fish he called "little Adolph". I was shocked and frightened to be living with these people, but we had little choice at the time.
Justin and I had a very nice Cadillac sedan... The only thing we owned that was worth something. Justin would take it out to go "merching" or selling the stuff to people - anyone he could. He would go business to business, go to parking lots, etc.
Well while we were staying there, the tags were getting expired on our car, and Justin kept telling Luigi about it, that he needed help to be able to get the tags renewed so he could keep working. Luigi kept stringing him along saying that he would take care of it, not to worry about it.
So it finally happened that the tags were expired, and Justin got pulled over in Oxnard and the car was impounded. We had a lot of our stuff in that car which we were never able to retrieve, and we never were able to get the car out of the impound. So we lost a perfectly good $5000 car.
Luigi's response to all this was "oh that car was a piece of s*. Why don't you buy a new car through me? I'll help you out." At this point things started to become very unnerving. Appearantly, the two guys who had been living at the apartment longest, Anthony and Rocky, had both gotten cars through Luigi, so now they were basically prisoners to him because he kept them in debt to him so they would have to work for him forever.
We wanted to get out of there, but now that we'd lost our car we couldn't. Luigi started to get really funny about paying Justin. He wouldnt pay him when the others got paid. Luigi kept making things up that we owed him money for staying there and not paying Justin at all. He was trapping us there.
Justin also was catching on to some very weird and disturbing things going on at the office... He mentioned to me things about money laundering and possible cocaine trafficing going on, based on some things he had seen and heard. The FBI was investigating Luigi.
The FBI showed up at the apartment one day when I was there alone, asking me a lot of questions about Anthony and Luigi. Appearantly "Anthony" was not even his real name, and he was out of prison on parole for shooting and killing someone! They asked a lot of questions about how Luigi was running his business. They asked if I "wanted him out of your life". I answered them as best I could, and they were going around looking at the conditions of the apartment, there were at least 9 people staying in this 2 bedroom apartment... All working for Luigi except me, and the girlfriends of the other guys.
Justin and I made an escape plan to get the hell out of there. Justin had been using his own money to buy orders of merchandise from Luigi and storing it so that we could one day take the merchandise and leave, and have money to get a place to stay by selling it.
A neighbor was going to let us use her truck for a while to get our stuff and the merch the hell out of there, she was very concerned about the situation and what was going on in that apartment.
Well, on the day we were going to leave, Justin went and opened up the garage storage where he had been storing his merch. It had been locked up, but "somone" had broken in and taken ALL of his merch.
Infuriated, we got our stuff together, got in the truck and left for a hotel in Oxnard. While we were staying in the Oxnard Hotel, Justin got ahold of Anthony and Luigi demanding to know what had happened to the stuff he had purchased. He was told that his merch had all been taken back to the warehouse in Ventura, and they were "keeping it for him" there.
Of course this all stank of rats and a setup, but we desperately needed money at that time. It was over $1000 worth of merchandise and we could not afford to lose it.
So one evening, after the regular sales day was over, Anthony came to our hotel to pick up Justin to take him to get his merch.
We were both very worried about what might happen. Justin took a tape recorder in his pocket, unknown to Anthony, and several knives, concealed. Justin told me that if he was not back within 45 minutes to call the police and send them to the NTSX Warehouse in Ventura. (it was about a 5-10 minute drive from where we were in Oxnard to the Ventura Warehouse)
So he left with Anthony. I waited nervously for exactly 1 hour, then I called the Ventura Police and told them that I was afraid something bad was happening to my husband at that warehouse. I gave the police the address and told them that I was worried Luigi might try to hurt my husband. The officer who took my call said "Ohh he works for LUIGI..." which told me that they must know Luigi or know something not good about him.
The cop didnt tell me that they would or wouldnt go out there, so I was kind of left hanging, and very very worried.
About another hour passed, and Justin finally returned, on foot! No merch of course.
He told me that Anthony had taken him to the Ventura Warehouse/Office. (He was recording the whole time during the car trip and going in the warehouse) When they got there, the whole place was dark. Anthony used his keys to the office to let Justin in. Then locked the door behind him when they got inside.
Justin knew now he was being setup for something bad, and pulled out one of his knives, threatening Anthony that nothing better go down. Anthony followed Justin as Justin Proceeded going from room to room, throwing open the door and turning on the lights. When he got back to Luigi's office, Luigi was there, waiting for him with a baseball bat!
Justin took off back toward the door, and had to break a window to get out. LUIGI WAS TRYING TO KILL HIM!
Luigi pursued Justin outside, and lo and behold, some police cruisers were just pulling up!
Justin started screaming that Luigi was trying to kill him. Luigi told the police that Justin had been trying to rob his warehouse. Anthony was outside pulling around in his car by now, and Rocky was just getting there.
One of the officers mentioned that it was strange that Luigi was in his dark office late in the evening in his PAJAMAS and knew that Justin was trying to rob him some how.
Justin told the cops that he had it all on tape, and the officers took it, and the recorder. When Justin kept insisting that Luigi was trying to kill him, and that he had it on tape, the officer responded with "What tape?". Luigi then kept saying that Justin used to work for him, and that he just wanted Justin to come into his office and "have a talk" with him.
The cops then started telling Justin, "Hey he just wants to talk to you, why don't you just go in a talk to him like he wants, and work things out?"
There was no way Justin was going back in that warehouse! He asked the cops to give him a ride back to the hotel, but they wouldn't. He told the officers he was afraid that if he had to leave on foot, Anthony, Rocky, or Luigi would come in one of their cars and hurt him, or jump him then.
The police still refused to give Justin a ride. But THANK GOD he made it safely back to the hotel!
Nothing ever happened to Luigi, Anthony, or any of those other pieces of filth that I know if, unfortunately. Its like the cops can't touch Luigi, or maybe some of them are paid off by him? We did see an unmarked state car - maybe FBI? Parked across the road from the warehouse, and taking pictures one time-
After all that I called my brother in Sacramento, and told him what had happened. He agreed to let us stay up there for a while until we could get back to Ohio where my parents live.
These NTSX people, ESPECIALLY Luigi, are THE LOWEST TYPES OF SCUM you could ever have the misfortune to run across! PLEASE STAY AWAY from them and their "business", and let other people know how CROOCKED and warped these people are! I know in my heart that Luigi would have MURDERED Justin that night if he could have. Probably because Justin found out too much about what was going on, and was wanting to leave. This is absolute EVIL!
Please warn everyone about this fradulent, cult like and oppressive "business"!
There are many other branches of this octopus of Innovage, Justin worked for one in Florida who was shady enough, but Luigi takes the cake! We would like to see NTSX taken out any way possible, or some kind of lawsuits against these scum bags, but it just seems that you can never touch these garbage people!
