What was wrong when it was supposed to be soooooooooo right!
Let's start at the beginning, Once upon a time there was a poet who went to Florida, now this poet spent $495 to enter this contest. This poet new not everyone could win, but the way it was done, made it real real hard for any gooooooooood poet to win. The first day started out allright. Then all hell broke loose!!!
I was wondering why they had never introduced the judges. That was because, other amateur poets were the judges. WE, the poets that is stayed in a hot hot room for about 3 hours. There was nooooooooooooooo microphone. Some people were left out of presenting their poem. Half the people's name I couldn't remember. Many people were aggravated@#! The guy who was in charge looked barely over 16 years of age. I hoped this was not what was the judging criteria of this contest. Did I feel jibt or what. Also, the awards all the poets were to get were very small, about the size of a ruler cut in half. All this happened in the first day.
The second day was filled with tooooo many seminars, which were no help because they didn't count in the judging at alllllllll.
Ok! Are all of you famous poets ready for the final grand final! Lets go!
We were suppose to win money prizes, door prizes a total of $10,000. The poets won allright but they didn't get money, they got a free space worth $500 for next year's competition. "Show me my money" In essence, no out of pocket expense for famouspoet company. Most of the people that won was a joke... And the $25,000 finalist seemed to be a little chummy with the famous poet workers and the poem really sucked.
So total it up! There were close to 2000 to 3000 poets, at about $500. Let's not forget their family's, each costing about $295. Hotel about $400, if took plane add some more and add you gas!
Now add an inferior voting scam and you get A BIG "0" Plus "0" left!
Famous poets made a mint and a half, leaving us with bad, bad breath!!!
