In 2003 I received two different letters from the famous Poets Society for two poems I'd submitted on their website. I was more than ecstatic to be recognized as a "famous poet", "poet of the year" as they say.
The invitations they sent me looked too fake to be true however, it never really dawned in me to do any research or that this could be a scam! Back then, I thought I was unfortunate not to attend their conventions because I didn't have money but now I know I was actually blessed!
It wasn't until a few days ago when my cousin also received a similar letter from them, that I decided to do some research and I found this website! Those thieves need to stop ripping off innocent people.
They give you a VIP number and tell you to use your number if you wish to view your poem online. There is no place on their website to put your VIP #, let alone view your poem!
Thanks to the individuals who voiced out their experiences with this company. Hopefully, people will do their research before falling for scams like this.
