Denise Vonage stealing from their "Free Trial" customers

I made the mistake of trying Vonage's 30 day free trial. On the day that the phone number was transferred over to them, I lost phone service. After spending hours on the phone with their technicians, I was told that my house wiring must be incompatible and they would help me to transfer the phone number back to Verizon. This took 3 weeks to do so I had no phone service during this time.

It was frustrating but mistakes happen. To my great surprise. A couple of months later, I noticed they started taking the $30 service fee out of my bank account. I called and spoke to multiple people who said, that I should have called their company and notified them that I was not using their 30 day free trial. Further they said I would have to pay $90 to disconnect their system even though they were NEVER able to connect it. Surely this must be a mistake... It wasn't. I have worked with the FCC, the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General. I find that Vonage must agree to mediation in order for these companies to help and Vonage is not about to do that. They have billed me for service they never provided and charged me to disconnect for a service they could never connect.

Vonage's basic response is that I was obligated to call a number that the technician never told me about, to tell them what they already knew; "the trial didn't work". What a horrible excuse for a company!!! Hope word gets out because businesses like this don't deserve to be in business.
