I was approached via email in late October about an incredible sales opportunity which I should not pass up. Being skeptical I investigated and the company was not a MLM so I proceeded with the initial interview, which was held at a hotel in a nearby town. I was called back for a second interview within 2 days which was held at another hotel in Sacramento. It was there I was offered a job as a sales representative. I was promised that I would receive comprehensive training so that I could become well knowledgeable about the chemicals this company sells to its clients. The first sign of trouble was that I had to sign this 15 page document that stated all kinds of information about if you terminate your employment you would need to reconcile your commissions account... Signing was a part of the hiring process, so I did. I was told I would be working on a base salary plus commissions earned. After my first month of only having 6 training days the company decided that they were going to make changes and ended up demoting my sales manager back to a sales rep. The new manager never contacted me and I stopped receiving my base salary. So I did what any worker would do, I called and asked what had happened and they said they would correct the problem. I received 1 check for base salary and then I had found a more stable job which was local so I resigned. I did not hear back form this company until this past week when they send me a commissions statement that says I owe them close to $400 because a previous customer decided to return an item. They claim that somewhere in the document I signed which I did not receive the copy, it says that I am responsible for all of my sales orders written and that if a customer refuses to pay or if products are shipped back I have to cover them. Beware of any recruiters for this company, they will say and do anything to get you to come on board and they prey on people who need a job.
