My complaint is the usual one against this company—that I was lured in by an offer of a "free" report. Within 13 days, I found a charge of $49.90 on my bank statement. When I called their "customer service, " the person I spoke to was obviously VERY accustomed to complaints exactly like mine, and recited in a flat, bored, uncompromising tone the "terms" I had supposedly agreed to. I wrote a letter to the CEO of the company, KEN BELL, telling him to refund my money. I also filed with the BBB of Salt lake City. The response letter from Pacific Webworks denied me my refund, and merely recited once again the technicalities and "terms" that made their ripoff "legal."
They goofed, though—their letter was boilerplate, which means it's one they send out all the time.in the second paragraph, someone else's name—another disgruntled customer's, obviously—was left in front of my name. An ethical company would immediately refund the money in the interests of good customer relations. These people play a game of "gotcha, " with purposely obscure wording in their "free offer, " raking in big revenue from it. Write to the CEO, KEN BELL, c/o the company address. I'm a journalist and plan on writing a piece for a Salt Lake City newspaper about this company.
