On 2/17 I terminated my employment with Swift Transportation For Personal reasons. Before Turning in the truck I replaced the mattress and swept and wiped down the unit (truck 94802) and turned it in to the Memphis Tn Terminal. I had paid a $500 pet deposit of witch 250 was to be kept to cover extra truck cleaning and $250 was to be refunded.
Well The Terminal manager (Mr. Sloan) Said that they were not refunding any of the Deposit because There was pet hair and it had a pet odor. I informed Mr. Sloan that The truck was a repo when I picked it up 8 mo earlier and I returned it cleaner than when I received it. Swift management refuses to answer any further correspondence.
The 250 Cleaning Fee I was charged was more than enough to cover any extra cleaning they may have done. I took pride in taking care of the old truck (it had over 600,000 miles on it) It is a shame a billion dollar company must steal my little $250, but that is just one other reason that proves there is no driver shortage. There is a shortage of honorable trucking companies
