Cydcor, DS-Maxx, Orion Marketing, World Access Marketing, Top Sales And Marketing Firm Representing Sports And Entertainment Clients — State wasted my time and posted same BS on monster.com five years later

Job posting: "Top sales and marketing firm representing sports and entertainment clients." Wow, that narrows it down. I'm glad I might get a job having lunch with Tiger Woods and whoever wins American Idol this year.

"Orionmarketing.net"

That Website opens up Website worldaccessmarketing.com, which states: "WAM has recently expanded in new market with the tremendous growth of a client portfolio. We will be expanding into seven new markets."

That's funny, five years ago when I fell for this, they were ten minutes away in Renton, Washington, expanding in the Seattle area. Renton and Tukwila are a fraction of the cost of Seattle and about twenty minutes away, so you first have to be suspicious of such an ambitious "company" in a low rent neighborhood.

I left my monster.com account open and received a job alert in the same manner I did five years ago, except it's a different name. My memory isn't that good, but I recognize the ad copy. I'm tempted to paste it here just for yux. It's not lying, it's vagueness.

Well, I couldn't resist:

"We are seeking inexperienced professionals that would like to take their Winning Mindsets and apply them to lucrative business careers in marketing / management. We want to develop our own people (starting in entry level) rather than hiring people with habits counteractive to our mission."

No, really, the ad says this. The web address again is orionmarketinggroup.com (notice they don't care to adopt a marketable domain name). This domain transfers directly to www.worldaccessmarketing.com (again, a dumb domain selection indicating Internet marketing is not the priority. Reaching a tiny fraction of customers on foot is their priority — face-to-face, hooray!)

One more:

"Our Company offers:
—Challenging and Interesting Work
—Recognition and Rewards for Accomplishments
—A Fun and Team Based Work Environment
—Outstanding Growth Opportunities
—100% Promotion from within
—Travel Opportunities"

Just because the word "work" is in there does NOT mean there's a paycheck.

Recognition, rewards, fun, growth, promotion, and travel all really stand for molestation physically and mentally. Do not fall for this perversion. If it wasn't referred to as work, maybe it would be okay to look further into, but don't.

Many college students have never experienced the work world, so the ad appeals to college graduates who are basically naive when it comes to job searching because they've been sitting in classrooms for 22 years or more: "A 4 year college degree is preferred but not mandatory. We are filling positions ASAP so please respond promptly if interested. *Winter graduates are encouraged to apply*..."

Juice, juice!

Juice for you!

That was fun. This is NOT an April Fool's joke.

P.S. If you're into MARKETING it's one thing to ignore technology and reach only a dozen or two of people a day. Compare that to the numbers of people through the use of a computer. If you're into sharpening up SALES skills, do it at a company that will put you on the PAYROLL. Start with retail. Do some research.
