Basicly poetry.com made money off of my own words copywrote it under there label and sold it to make a profit. Then asked me to pay to recieve my award. Tricked and lied to us

Basicly the so called International Libary of Poetry aka Poetry.com took my poem made money from it and gave nothing in return. I feel that if I had submitted my work and they made money from it I should at least recieve some kind of compinsation for it. At the very least a copy of the book that my work was in.

After I didn't buy anything from them I never heard from them again. It was almost like if you dont buy they drop you there. Is it so wrong to ask for at least a copy of the book it was published in or even the $50 it would have been worth if it was accepted by another publicatio. I think not.

Writing is not easy and I feel that if some one states that you have won something that you should not have to pay to get it. Evenmore so to have to pay to read your own work. Does anyother artist have to pay to see there own work I think not.

The International Libary of Poets aka Poetry.com published my work and kept everything and then recorded it and kept everything from that too. Then they told me that I won an award but would have to pay arround $600 to attend a siminar to recieve it, plus pay my own room and bord and for the flight up there and back. As a part time poet and part time student holding down a full time job just to make ends meet I don't have that kind of money to throw around. Who does?

If there is any way that I can be helped in this situation please contact me. Even if there isn't contact me just so I know that this reached someone. Thank you.
