While making purchases online i was told that i was being given a thank-you gift for my orders. Magazines free for one year with no charges to be made unless after that year i decided to continue the subscriptions.
I was also told that i would be notified prior to my credit card being charged that i used for my order that i placed with the other company that claimed i was being given the gift of the magazines.
After looking over my creditcard statement i find that i am being charged 30.00 for one magazine and 52.00 for another. That is only two so far. I am now wondering when the others will start to appear on my account.
This is false advertisment. I immediately filed two disputes with my credit card company. And i also noticed that the address i show is differant then the one i found on the internet.
This address was on so called free cd roms that i got from the same company and the address label says customer service center p.O. Box 1238 newburgh ny 12551 i hope this will help anyone else in my situation.
I intend to send them a certified letter with all the magazine labels attached telling them to stop charges on my account and stop all magazines immediately.
I think this company should be stopped from being permitted to rip off people in this fashion!
