Took 16,000 dollars and left the country ripoff

We fell for their line that our invention was just what they were looking for.

They told us that it was a real seller and would do every thing they could to help us to get it patented and manufactured and on the market.

We paid the money up front because they told us that they couldn't do the work untill we paid them. They were very nice to us and we were very trusting in their judgement.

So we took out a home equity loan to pay them over $16,000. What do we have to show for it, not much. I would guess it might have cost less than $1,000 to do what they have done so far or what they say they have done.

We have no way of knowing what they are doing as we can't contact them by phone, email or snail mail as they don't reply.
