I also found out as of Jan. 17th by looking at my online banking statements that two identical charges in the amount of $69.95 have been deducted from my checking account as check card purches from a company called Xtreme Burn.
I have never authorized or given permission to any such company. They somehow got a hold of my check card number. I've taken all the necessary actin w / my bank by closing that card and disputing the charges w / the security department, so I'm assuming that I will be reimbursed in full, however this is a hassle.
I do have one odd question for those who have also been victimized. Has anyone ordered anything from Flowers.com before getting these charges. The only company I can remember was them and it was two days before these charges showed up. Since my wife takes care of the family finances, she couldn't figure out who Xtreme Burn was and notified me a week later.
There has to be a common link with us all on how these criminals are getting our info. I wouldn't be surprised if some employee of some company is selling this info or is in on it.
