Lions Gate Consulting, Lions Gate Financial
Reps were not knowledgeable about process, were rude and arrogant when asked questions, lied to me about time frame when i tried to stop payment New York

I received a postcard in the mail about government grants. I had called up the number listed and enrolled in the program. Two days before the payment was to be taken out of my account, I called up to cancel the transaction. The person on the phone told me I was too late to cancel, so I asked him to make a note of it on my account that I did try, and I would contact my bank. The bank also stated I was too late.

The payment went thru a month later, and when I received my package, I was a bit confused as to how to answer the questions. When I called up for help, the person on the other end of the line either didn't like my questions, or he didn't have the information I was looking for.

Instead of being helpful, he was rude and after awhile answered every question I had with "Just answer the questions, and dont lie", insinuating that I was going to lie on my application.

After I read the entire questionaire, I decided that there was something strange about the whole thing, and decided to cancel and get my money back. I then called up the number again and requested information on how to cancel. The man on the end of that phonecall quickly gave me a page number (in the booklet I recieved) to read, and then follow those instructions, and then he hung up on me.

I was unsure of exactly what kind of cancellation notice I had to give, and was not going to jeopardize my refund, so I called again to ask some questions. Unfortunately I was reunited with the same man I spoke to the first time. I know this because he arrogantly made me very aware that he was the one I spoke to the first time, and he was basically getting annoyed with my calls.

I argued with him about a few different points, and he asked me if I would like to hear the recorded statement made to me when I first signed up. He played that back for me, and in turn, I learned that I could have cancelled the entire transaction in the very beginning up to TWO DAYS prior to my account being debited. I stated to him that I had called a month earlier to cancel the whole thing and was lied to by the rep that I spoke with. His response? I was a liar, because I didn't call. I even asked the rep to make an account notation, and he didn't, or the jerk on the line presently was lying to me.

Either way, I was talked down to, made fun of, and called a liar by this awful customer service rep who had absolutely no knowledge about his job. His title was Financial Analyst, but knew nothing about the procedure of the company he works for. I also argued that the so called shipping and receiving fee that they keep out of your refund is no where near the $4.00 it cost me to send it back.

Suprise suprise, they say the refund will arrive within twenty days. I followed all the instructions to a T, and mailed the package back on December 22. Today is January 22, and I still havent gotten my refund. I called around the 15th of January to find out where my money was, and I was told the transaction was processed January 2. Today being the 22nd, I will call again this afternoon because my money has still not appeared in my bank account.
