I am writing this because I am having similar problems just like the individuals I have read on this website. I have been in this school for over a year... And I will tell you it has been living hell... I will also tell you that the person who signed me up told me it was a fixed loan. Go figure, and it was not... I found out about 7 months into this course... I am unhappy with TechSkills because first the Mentors that are experienced in this feild do not wish to help you acheive your goals, and blow you off when you ask for help. I asked for help from a Mentor an she replied " you act you are the only one here" in front of all the other students, like I was demanding attention over the other students. I received a course guide for a course and a bunch of books and was expected to do the work without any futher explanation. When I would ask for help I was treated like I was stupid and incompentent. They told me I needed to go and get it done just like everyone else, and take a test this week. I feel that if they are going to provide training... That that is what they should do.!! I should not have to go online to find information I feel they should supply. I will tell you BEWARE OF THIS SCHOOL AND DO NOT ENROLL HERE! I have spent more time looking for answers to my material in the 5 books they give for one course than actually reading and learning the material. Things I have found are the course, there are alot of misspellings and their material contradicts other stuff from the net, and even their books contridict each other. Also their so called TestPrep is a joke and the material in it is not what is actually on your test... I never asked for the same questions but at least they could do a better job at putting it together. Alot of misspelling and repeat questions. I received E-mails from them requesting information that was supplied to them when I started. I kept those too! The software in a program was not working right, and I was told after I sent a E-Mail to the director asking if I could continue when the problem was resolved. I got no response from him, but I received an E-Mail from her (my Mentor)... It was real nice. But when I called to speak with her, her tone was nasty " she stated!!! You don't have to send nasty E-Mails to here, and tell us your not finishing this course... I checked the software myself, and it is working fine. So you will get in here, and finish this just like everyone else. I explained to her the problem I was having, and she blew me off, and said I don't care you need to find a way to get you ass in here, and finish this this week. I never sent nasty E-Mails I must say I also wanted to tell them that I was also one of the Mentors students and my 7,000 dollars that I spent here on the material that I was attempting to learn. Helped pay your salary so you need to get your attitude straight, and come over here, and help me. I was also told that the material that I am learning in this course... Most of it I will never use, or that won't be on the test, or you won't be doing this in real life. SO WHY ARE THEY TEACHING IT??? I have spent alot of time going slow on these coures too! And alot of time trying to find answers, and I hate asking anything from them because they are so nasty. I will not be recommending them, I will not be putting them on my resume, and I wonder if I will pass my certification test after going here.in the end I stayed too! But I have 4 weeks left, and I need this certificate, but I would never want anyone else to go through what I went through to get it!!! THEY TOOK ME FOR 7,000 DOLLARS I found out I could have gotten a job in a Pharmacy and had to be certified in 18 months.
