Paul Bishop, Prize Officer Scam! Too good to be true. What no phone number or web address? Keep Dreaming! Missouri

I opened my mail box to find that I might be the BIG winner of $1,000, 000. Paid to me if I filled out the form and sent it in within 7 days of the post marked date. The offer said I have the option of taking a one lump-sum payment of $555,000.00 or $33,344.00 annually for 30 years.

At first, I thought maybe this was true because about two weeks ago I received a phone call on my cell telling me the same thing. All I had to do was sign the paperwork that was coming my way and send it back.

However, as a special prize over the phone I won a watch with a REAL diamond in it. OH BOY! All I had to do was give them my credit card number over the phone and buy one mag. Subscription for less than $10. Like I'm that stupid! I told the odd sounding man over the phone that I would be delighted to win the money (By the way he asked about 4 questions on how and what I would spend my money on) but that I was not interested in spending any of my own money.

He became somewhat pushy and asked again which one I would like to order. Again, I told him no thank you and decide that this was the end of the road for him and I. I thanked him and hung up. What was really scary was he had my full name, home address, my work address and what I did for a living. This is why at first I thought maybe is was real. Then I got scared knowing someone out there new a lot more about me than I wanted them to know.

Back to the letter... I realized real quick that the letter was fraudulent. They weren't asking for any money to win the $1,000, 000.00 prize. It even says at the bottom, "Purchase is not necessary and will not improve odds of winning". But they were asking for $11.89 made payable to N.A.C. For a premium offer. Without a website or a phone number listed I knew what I had to do...

Check them out online. And here I am... Fake papers in hand. Please don't be fooled by this childish scam. If everyone they send this letter to paid them $11.89 they might be the winner of the $1,000, 000.00 prize by by stealing it from innocent people like you and I. Don't cave to such stupidity! Just hang up or rip up the paperwork.

P.S. When I looked at where the stamp should be on the envolope it has a red ink stamp (Not a regular stamp) that read National Award Commission presorted standard U.S. Pastage PAID Kansas City, Mo Permit #270.
