My experience with this TLG GREATFN was through shoebuy.com.
I notice that my credit card had been billed for May and June for $9.99. The first charge I thought was through my bank for some annual payment of some sort, then I was billed again and I thought why would my bank bill my card when they could just take it out of my account. So I called the number listed on my statement and it mentioned greatfun. I have never in my life heard of this place, so I tried to talk to someone at first... No luck. Did more research on the web and tried calling again. This time I said no, that I didn't know my account number and I was put right through to a customer service person.
When I spoke with someone from greatfun they told me that because I wanted a rebate on an item that I was going to purchase through shoebuy and (I ended up cancelling the item because they took so long to send it) didn't respond within 30 days to the rebate is why I have been billed! I am still confused by what they told me and cannot believe shoebuy gave them my personal information without asking and I don't recall asking for any type of rebate!
She then cancelled my "membership" and told me she was going to send me a packet for discounts to restuarants, fun parks etc. I told her not to bother because I live on an island in ALASKA and have nothing here like the big cities do.
So I had to cancell my card and have a new one issued so they would not have any access to my account again, such pain in the you know what.
