I have been contacted by GC Services in regard to a debt I do owe.
I have been contacted by a Darrell Brown from the Jacksonville office. He calls me continuously, daily, and sometimes multiple times a day!!! Making it a little hard to work.
If for some reason he has to leave a message, the next call is "so, why are you avoiding my calls". I don't avoid his calls, sometimes I am actually not able to come to the phone at his beck and call. He is calling me daily, he refuses to accept any payment less than the full amount, he is threatening me with huge fees and illegally high interest rates if I don't pay it all in full.
Then he told me that my credit score was over 700 and that I could save it by paying up NOW! Where did he get that information? I didn't give permission...
I have repeatedly asked him to please send me in writing what I owe and a breakdown of any and all charges and fees. He refuses (it's been 3 weeks now).
I have also repeated, I can only do this in payments! (I had been unemployed for 6 months). So quite calling me and send me a bill so I can send you a payment. He keeps delaying my ability to pay. (I had to get the address off the internet-he refused to give it to me or his phone number, his caller id is 000-000-0000.).
So he can call me, but I can't call him!
So, he resorted to calling my parents a week into this. (I'm 21 by the way and haven't lived at home in 3 years). When my parents tell him this his reply is "how do I know that?" "How do I know your not lying to me"."Well, after being told over 7 times you will just have to believe me" my dad said.
He has harrassed them to a point that they have filed harrassment charges on him with the Harnett County Police Department.
And all of this over less than $3,000.00
