Why am I now afraid to go to school? I drive 1-2 hours to get to class for what? I pay them $70,000 to traumatize and invoke fear into me. I pay them to stand idly by as I am assaulted by an instructor for being a 5 foot black female, with the former Dean "refusing" to call the police, refusing to speak to 10 witnesses that I have statements from, and then the Director telling me that it was my fault.
That is correct. I was "attacked" on the ITT TECH San Bernardino, CA campus 031 and no one did anything about it. The instructor was not reprimanded and the Director refused to remove him from our class. The instructor had even almost gotten into a fight with a student in the lab.
Our Director did not care. He lied to us stating that there was no other qualified instructor. Then, the instructor was finally replaced with another one who has been on the campus for years. My bad, they did do something. I was written up, admonished and yelled at by the former Dean, and forced to sign an ASD saying that I was rude and disruptive.
I told him to call the police, he put his finger in my face and yelled, " You don't tell me what to do." He also REFUSED to give me the number to corporate headquarters. He told me I had to speak to the Director first before I could call them. And, the Director basically laughed at me over the phone. What a shock. And, I was forced to walk in the hallway with another student at all times because I did not feel comfortable because ITT refused to remove the instructor from the campus.
Maybe this will make the Director of the San Bernardino, CA campus laugh. The instructor outright lied in his statement and they know he did. The Director started looking for reasons for me to have created the issue. He started telling my classmates that my house was broken into and I must have been upset. I never gave him permission tell everyone this. I had only told a few people. Thanks Director, you told the whole class. But, the instructor was just out of order and yelling at the entire class. He had an unsavory glazed over look in his eyes. The instructor proceeded to try to hug me and it got weird so I left.
The Director started putting my personal business out in public to other students to try to weasel his way out of the attack. They were attempting to get me to not contact the police, I did. Yet, ITT Tech and the campus Director did nothing. The teacher was not reprimanded, had threatened to take care of" (our former Associate Dean who quit) for investigating the issue and was in blatant violation of Microsoft's copyright. THE TRUTH HURTS!
All this because I quietly left the classroom to call my children to make sure that they took their asthma meds. I am just sick and tired of the anti-student sentiment as it is perpetrated by the Director. This is all documented in writing. I will be more than glad to give "ANYONE" copies of all supporting truths. These are not allegations.
This is a true incident that happened in June. And, why did the Director and former Dean allow this man (violent student bashing instructor) hand out photocopies of the "Microsoft Project" book (I thought this was a copyrighted product) which ITT is too cheap to buy/issue. We have to have books that are grammatically incorrect, in which many of the labs do not work or can not be performed by students.
Questa is an outright and blatant breach of contract because it is full of flaws and we in return are penalized for them. If you have taken classes online, ITT Tech has breached your contract with a system that is flawed and refuses to allow you to learn and submit your work to be graded. Students across the board are failing and being forced to retake classes because Questa is flawed. It is difficult to submit assignments. The completion grade that is shown is erroneous.
The Directors and corporate are exploiting these flaws by failing to force Questa to fix them, so they can bill students for these classes two and three times. I wonder if the Director gets bonuses. This should be investigated and if you are an attorney I would ask you to please do so. A large portion of the students have had to retake classes because Questa is flawed, ultimately costing them thousands, if not tens of thousands of extra dollars.
I have been unable to submit work, had problems working on projects with people who fail to respond, been awarded erroneous grades, have been accused of plagiarizing my own work, been penalized for clicking on the wrong link to submit my assignment and have not be recognized for my grade because Questa refused to show the proper completion percentage. And, every time Questa has issues, they want us to run in circles giving them supporting documentation for their errors. Don't complain about a problem with Questa. You will get a thoughtless and uninvestigated response from the online department in Indiana. Questa is flawed, so fix it already.
I can personally say that the former Dean of the San Bernardino, CA who was promoted as Director of another campus, and our current Director have created and forced us to be victims of a hostile educational environment.instructors are forced to work in a hostile work environment. The Director and former Dean do/did not care at all about the students and have shown nothing but animus towards us. The Director of the San Bernardino campus needs to be replaced, so do it. And, the former Dean of the San Bernardino campus, I just called he went to Torrance, CA, should be dismissed for conspiracy to commit assault and battery, perpetuation of hate crimes, discrimination, fraud, predatory practices and just outright
These are the personal experiences of a disgruntled emotionally and physically abused ITT Tech student of the San Bernardino, CA campus 031. If you want documentation, I will email it to you along with their responses. I have trouble sleeping some nights dealing with the trauma that I have suffered at the hands of this organization. ITT's Director's responses reaffirm the cover up and conspiracy to commit a daily breach of my contract and his mission to emotionally abuse me.
I was almost in tears as I asked the former Dean to call the police; instead he refused, yelled at me, wrote me up and forced me to go back to class. I am made fun of (on a regular basis) for a teacher attacking/slapping me and people have lost all respect for me since I did nothing and was treated like dog crap after being physically abused and threatened by this instructor, then fondled. If you want to sleep at night with piece of mind, do not attend this school. The Director and former Dean of my campus haunt me in my worst nightmares.
These nightmares are more gruesome than the movie "Hostel." I have already suffered panic attacks. And, I will suffer emotional trauma for the rest of my life because of this situation. We are learning to hate school, hate computers, hate learning, hate each other and hate ourselves. Dr. Phil needs to intervene in this situation. If this sounds emotionally driven, it is. I have been emotionally abused by this organization, the Director of my campus, and the Director of the Torrance campus for the last 3 years of my life. And, this is something I will be forced to live with for the rest of my life.
