I received a phone call from CMS telling me about an unbelievable offer about receiving magazine subscriptions at a minimal cost.
I was to receive 4 different magazines with a 2 year subscription to each for a certain cost divided into easy monthly installment.
I was conned into this deal and I gave my credit card information so I can receive the special offer. I was charged the first installment then I started receiving a total of 8 magazine to my house.
I then proceeded to cancel the subscription which they said I was unable to do that. So I did a reversal on my account and closed my credit card account to prevent any unauthorized charges.
I then called the individual magazine customer service center asking them why I am receiving their magazine and they told me that they had a deal with an outside source for the subscription to me.
I've tried numerous times to cancel this subscription with CMS, in turn, they tell me that they already bought the subscription from the magazine companies and that I would be liable for it.
I don't know what else to do but voice my opinion and I am in the process of filing a consumer complaint form with the state of Missouri as well as following up on Missouri's Statute of Fraud to see if there is anything else that can be done.
