July I received Clipper Magazine advertisement with Discount Blind offering a complimentary set up fee. Being a business person who also advertises in same magazine I decided to go with this company. George Mertz came out to measure and take 1/2 the downpayment which was $400. He was very down to earth speaking about his son being in the service, etc. I trusted this man to taking my money and expecting my shutters in six weeks. Immediately I had the feeling I was dealing with a deceitful company. The lady who answered the phone was not very professional in handling a simple question like "Can you find out when my shutters will be delivered"? She didn't have my paperwork at first. Then she said George didn't get the paperwork in till just recently and I would be getting a call soon. After many phone conversations and endless dates I realized I was duped.
