My husband and I are also victims of Homeq. Our home loan was bought by Homeq and we have been trying to save our home every since. They have tried to foreclose twice in the past year and are currently trying to foreclose. All we have been able to do so far is to stall the foreclosures in hopes of finding a resolution.

It started when we had a financial setback and got behind 2 months. We had to send them $4055.00 via Western Union. Approximately $1900.00 was for the late payments and the payment to bring the loan current. The rest was for their attorney fees-over $2000.00 for sending 2 letters? But it gets worse... We have an 80/20 loan so we had to do the same on the 20 part of the loan (more attorney fees). This caused a huge financial strain which would inevitably cause us to be late on the next months payment. They refused payment and started foreclosure proceedings. We had just paid them over $6000.00 total! We couldn't believe it-We were going to lose our home.

They have refused payments every since and offer us no type of resolve. They have now sent us a letter stating that they will pay us if we will move out. And some real estate woman came out to take pictures of our home and told me that Homeq would pay us $600.00 to move out. She said that Homeq had already foreclosed, had the auction, and that Homeq bought our home at the auction. They also sent a man to change the locks (LOCK US OUT)!!! Luckily my husband was home that day and prevented this from happening. What in the he— is this?! #?! %? My husband had filed Ch. 13 but they had the auction anyway???

They have ruined our credit, my health (my husband and I are 34 years old), our sanity, caused much financial and psychological stress-which leads to unnecessary marital problems (we just last week had our 2 year anniversary). I have severe panic attacks, nightmares, I rarely leave my home, I do not leave my door open-even on beautiful days... When I let my dogs out to potty I rush them so that I can get them back inside and close/lock the door, I keep my blinds and curtains closed at all times, I am always waiting for that moment when the sheriff is going to knock on my door to evict us.

My husband has a towing company, which is a small business in its second year and I work from home. I also dispatch and do paperwork for him. But since our nightmare with Homeq began I have literally consumed myself in trying to save our home. This of course adds to the problem because I cannot bring in as much money as I used to. It just keeps snow-balling!!!

I have spent hundreds of hours researching, reading, contacting attorneys and agencies for help. I have printed so many laws (Federal and State), Missouri Statutes, and information about others with the same nightmare happening to them (that the stack of papers is approximately 12 high). I have read and reread the mortgage/foreclosure laws and procedures that are supposed to be followed but have not been able figure out what to do and where to get started*UNTIL A COUPLE OF DAYS AGO* (read my extra note at the bottom)!!!

We were so happy and looking forward to the future. We loved life and we loved (and still do) our new home. We were lucky to get our home*It was as if it was meant to be-Our land borders my father-in-laws land which is where my husbands business sits and his father's home, which borders my grandfather-in-laws land and home. My husband's handicapped uncle lived with my husband's very ill grandfather (who has since passed away). My husband's father also has not been in good health. We needed this home in order to be close to them. So many people were telling me that it was pointless to inquire about buying our home because the owners had turned down every offer they had over a 2 year period. We inquired anyway! A lot of people were trying to buy this home but the older couple decided to sell it to us even though we could not afford their asking price. They dropped the price $20,000 lower than the appraisal value because they said that they could tell that we would love this home as much as they did. Can you see why we want to keep our home. We want to be here forever!!! And Homeq wants to take it from us!

But a couple of days ago I found a website DEDICATED ONLY to Service Loan Fraud and Predatory Lenders. I finally feel like there is a glimmer of hope!!!

They have to be stopped!!! I would appreciate any help that I can get and will be happy to offer any help that I can. I have done a lot of research and compiled much information.
