I got a call from them today offering me a credit card designed to help me rebuild my credit. As a young mom i jumped at the oppertunity b/c it seemed legit. Then when verifications called me they asked me the yes and no questions rambled off the costumer service number, and then my verification number and then hung.
I immediately knew that something was wrong b/c i was once a telemarketer and we were always supposed to ask if the customer had any questions. So i went online to research the company and all i found was fraud reports. I couldn't even find the company's web site.
I immediately called my bank and put a stop payment on the check. Then thanks to everyone here i was able to find the customer service number. I got through and cancelled. The funny part was the sales representative knew exactly why i called. I didn't even have to tell her. Then she congradulated me and said she was glad that i cancelled. Obviously everyone who works for them know they are frauds.
Thank you everybody you saved me a lot of money and hassle.
