I ordered the TV special in early May, I don't remember the exact date, supposed to be 2 vacuums for 79.00 dollars.
When I received my credit card statement for July there were two (2) entries for charges, the first posted on 5/31 in the amount of $193.80, the second posted on 6/21 in the amount of 79.90, for a total of $283.80. I called the 800 # and when the customer service rep answered the first thing he said was "you want to cancel your order".
When I ask him what the charges were for he said I had ordered four (4) items. I told him no I only ordered the TV special (1 vacuum, 1 free). He responded okay we will cancel this order as it is not scheduled to shipp for 3 more weeks. They did cancel and I received a credit in the amount of $273.80 (they kept $10.00, I guess handling charges) posted to my credit card 8/31.
I still wanted the vacuum so on 07/07 I ordered one (1) online for $59.79, plus $10.00 for a 5 year warranty (which is whortless since they are no longer in business), plus 27.49 for express shipping, (which it was shipped regular mail), it was shipped on 07/18. I have received it and like it because of it's weight.
However the filter is not very good.
So 08/03 I ordered, again online, (3) replacement filters in the amount of 17.97 plus 4.95 shipping, total charges of $22.92 posted to my credit card 08/24, and I still have not received the filters. I sent an E-mail to customercare on 08/31, received a response that a rep would contact me in 24 hours. Have never heard from them. Tried to send another E-mail on 08/31, failed to go through, their address no longer valid. I called their 800 # 10/14, was on hold for 1 hour, finally hung up.
To Date, 11/02, have not received the filters I paid for, and am unable to make contact with anyone associated with the company.
Today I saw the complaint and decided to add my experiences, in case a Lawyer decides to take a class action suit.
