Everyone Please don't send your ideas or any money to Davison Design & Development. Don't learn the hard way like we did.
Davison Design & Development have a lot of Directors of New Products. Mine was named Timothy Kolodychak. Just like all the other people scammed by this company.
Step #1 I was told to send $685.00 to them with my signed contract and told not tell anyone about my idea. This money was to help in the research of titles or patents. Also they would help me get my idea to a/several manufactors that would be interested in purchasing my idea. I was told everytime Mr. Kolodychak called, that he thought this was a great idea and that it should bring in six figures (high). We even received a letter from George M. Davison, President telling us about our wonderful idea and inform us that they would be sending our product to Polder but to not call and bother them, if we have any questions to call Davison. Well, now I know why. They sent me a contingency agreement with the wrong name on it. When I called and asked they told me to just simply cross out the other persons name and put in ours. Then wanted more money to get the ball rolling. Mr. Kolodychak told me that he and his team had 1000's of manufactors to select from on their list for my invention (even though I never recieved that list or a list of satisfied customers). Nor did I ever get an actual prototype which was promised in our contract. I finally recieved a picture of the prototype (not an actual prototype) my wife said that's not even the idea we sent in. When I asked Mr. Kolodychak about that he told me that this was a much better idea. After all they'er the professionals. Mr. Kolodychak was so excited and that this was the way to go and wanted more money. I was also assured at that time our idea was worth atleast (high) six figures. So we sent off the money and $100.00 to the patent office. Then more money for something else again. We would recieve a call from Mr. Kolodychak every month assuring us that this was a wonderful idea and that it was sure to sell and we would be receiving alot of money for our idea. They even went as far as to send us a document asking how we would like our money, all at once, sell them the idea, large down payment and then a cut of the profits after that. We were ecstatic, we are not rich people, we had to remortgage our home in order to do this.
Step #2 turned over to the next person on the ladder Andrew Cable person incharge of promoting our product.instead of making several pictures in plastic and sending to several clients at one time, they prefer to do one at a time. I would too at a cost of $334.00 per client. At this time I started looking on the internet to find out if I was the only unsatistfied client of Davisons. Imagine my surprize to find out that there were many out there. I contacted the Better Business Bureau and they didn't have anything good to say either. Well, to make a very long and painful story short, we sent them almost $10,000.00. They sent the idea to Polder and only Polder. Davison sent us a letter, after three months of waiting, that our idea was not purchased, imagine that.
We called and talked with the person incharge of new marketing at Polder and was informed that yes indead they had submitted our idea, just a picture with a letter telling alittle about the product. But that's it, nothing else. They never do anything else. Plus their fees are so high that unless it would be a very big money maker, it's not considered. Polder also told us that they have never purchased an idea/product from Davison. Davison then wanted more money to send the idea to yet another company. $334.00 to repackage and resend? Where in the contract did it say it was going to cost each and every time? All they have to do is get on the computer change the old company name to the new company name, change the colors, print another picture and send it. Should take about 5 minutes, not bad for $334.00. Then send it to a company that already has several products like the one they are promoting for us? I think not. That was the final straw.
Has Mr. Andrew Cable called me (I mean, they're working so hard for me?) and ask me why I have not sent the money or if there's a probrem, NO. Why would he? They got my money, thats all they care about. It makes me wonder how you people (Davison) in all good conscience can sleep at night.
