Ripoff, sent nothing after promise of unsecured card, got BS envelope

I received a call about a pre-approved 0% interest rate mastercard for 1 year and then 1.9% after that. I asked what I had to do to apply, and they said I was already pre-approved because I had an account at Bank of America. They said it was unsecured and had a $2500 credit limit. They said it was $249 for the set up fee and I reluctantly agreed for a $2500 usecured mastercard for a one time processing fee of $249.

A week later, Bank of America called to let me know about some scam, which later turned out to be Sureway Beneficial. I thanked them, puposely left my account with little money, and then they attempted to debit my account $249. Bank of America sent it back and I told them that if this was a scam, I did not want to be a victim.

A week later, some Indian sounding dude called and mumble unintelligible words. I did hear him say my name and my part of my account #. I told him "No, I do not know why you have that info and I do not authorize anything". My cell phone lost service shortly after that.

Later on May 3rd my account was debited for $249. I did not know of this until later, when my account went in the hole. I told Bank of America that I did not know what was up with this and they basically told me that I had authorized this transaction, after they called me and warned me about them, and me telling thme I did not want to be ripped off, and they still won't give me my money!!!

The bank gave me Sureway's #, which was useless. They gave me 866-642-9465, which is a call center in anchorage, AK; according to the dude who answered and cussed me and called me an idiot after telling him I did not believe he could not give me the direct # to Sureway Beneficial.

I have called this same # many times. I called and asked if this was real and where was my card. They said it was shipped from FL, but delayed due to hurricanes. This was a month and a half after I started calling the # and the 1st actual conversation with a person and not the answering machine (which never returned numerous messages).

On 8/11, Over 3 months later, I get this piece of crap envelope from Champlain, NY. It contained a crap letter that said I had to send for my card—and pay $39.95 to boot!!! Like they hadn't already STOLEN enough from me!!!

The mastercard was a secured card and required a deposit. It really wasn't a credit card at all; it was a money management card application, not a mastercard or any card at all. Just an application for this crap saying I had to send them more money!

Well, screw those thieving scam artists!!! I want them as bad as all of you. I have requested a form from the NY Atty Gen Office.

I talked to bank of america again tonight after seeing this site and those bastards won't give me my money. They say I must call Sureway and gave me 866-849-1487. I called and for literally 28 minutes, heard nothing but IGEA hair removal, Heineken Beer, and 80's music and an intermittent "all operators are busy" recording.

They will not get away with this load of horse manure!!! How dare they do this to me and the rest of you people out their. I work for the gov't is the crazy part; if they rip me off, they would do it to our mothers, grandmothers, great-grandmothers, uncles, cousins, friends, etc. My point is screw them; we don't have to take it and we won't take it.

Usacomplaints.com, please call me and and help! I am taking this matter very personally, especially after that little bastard cussed me out and even refused to put the sorry manager on the phone. He even told me his manager did not want to get on the phone with such an idiot. Thanks for letting me vent and lets get these sorry SOB's!
