Ripoff i got my money back, so can you!

Thank God for his web-site. I almost went on the honeymoon in my nightmares! My fiance and I got this voucher in the mail, and usually we don't call these places (been there, done that). But I recently graduated from college after 2 long years and 3 kids later, we are finally on our feet and ready for the big day. So we thought, "What would it hurt to call and get the details?" We took all the precautionary steps, even tape recorded the whole thing. I work for an Attorney as a Paralegal, so I thought "Surely they wouldn't get one by me!" I was also I telemarketer for 3 years.

The next day I got on the internet to check out where we would be staying, after all, I've been dreaming of my big vacation and honeymoon from the stress of life and kids. Then I came across this web site. I could not believe that I had just bought the exact same vacation that I was reading horror stories about.

So I called the sales # to speak with the women that had assured me of a wonderful honeymoon, of course she was not available (Kristen), so I asked for the 2 others I had talked with. I finally ended up with the manager (supposedly, I lost track of how many people said they were the manager) his name is BEN SLIDER.

He stated that they cannot satisfy ALL of the millions of customers they have, and assured me of my satisfaction, then he gave me the web-site (www.vacationmoments.com) to see exactly where I would be staying (funny they never offered this while they were trying to sell it to me) I could not believe it, no way was my honeymoon going to be spent in the same run down hotels around my hometown.

I then called the customer care # (800-203-9783) and demanded a refund. The man told me the WHOLE dept was in a meeting and to call back in 15 min. How many reputtable companies do that??? I called back in 15 min and he said they had all gone home for the night.By this time I was pissed!

I called back today, I got my money back! I used some of the tips from this site and had my money back in 15 minutes!!!

Here's How:
1. I you sound like an idiot on the phone, they will push you harder, so sound sturn, but not rude, if it goes to Court, the Judge will hold that against you.

2. Have a tape recorder ready, and when they answer, confirm who that you have reached Ramada Plaza Resorts and ask the operator the date and his full name. Then tell him you are taping and make him acknowledge that he knows and gives you permission. This is a must, it is intimidating enough to at least make them be honest.

3. Explain that you want a refund, if it has not been 60 days since purchase, tell them you are aware that this is a law, you have not used any of their goods and want a full refund.

4. Don't take no for an answer!

5. Make sure you re-conform the permission to record and the cancellation # and that there will be no fees at all billed to your card.

They offered me another package, but from what I see, thats not an option for me. I hope this help any of you who have been mislead. Good luck!
