Upon checking my current bank statement, I found a charge for $19.95 for DealPass and another $19.95 for Athomerewards. I asked my wife if she had authorized such payments and she had never heard of these people. I immediately went back and checked my prior bank statements and found that for for the past four months my bank account had been debited by these two accounts.
After analyzing the situation, I was able to determine that my wife had ordered some Aloe products over the phone and was asked for a credit card number to pay shipping charges. She was told about some additional programs and she flatly refused and told them that all she wanted to do was to pay the shipping charges for the Aloe products.
I called the bank and told them of the fraud. They are investigating this situation.in addition, I have contacted my lawyers to determine what additional actions I need to take.
