Cardgiver
Deceptive ripoff

I sigen up with Columbia House DVDs through cardgiver. I was promised a $50 gift card to Eddie Bauer. Months later, my cardgiver account was not updated. I had already purchased DVDs from Columbia house.

I found the customer service contact for cardgiver and emailed them. I received their general runaround response, this happened for months. Finally about 7 months of me badgering them, whenever I remembered, they told me QUOTE (from an email I still have):

Dear Member:

Sorry for the inconvenience, sometimes the sponsor's do not approve the members in a timely manner. That has nothing to do with us. However, if you received a welcome letter or Email from the sponsor, then please send the letter over to us. Were our tech dept will take care of the situation manually.

I did what they asked & still nothing. After more repeated emails, I got this response:

AND, as you guessed, still nothing. I threatened with the BBB. I thought I got a reaction:

Dear Member:

The card will be sent out manually. Please be patient the status on the account does not make a difference; we are sending you the card ASAP.

I guess I was wrong.
It has now been 9 - 10 months and I never received my giftcard from them & now my emails to them are "undeliverable".
