I received a letter in the post this morning saying that I am "the grand prize winner of $13,230.00 AUD!"
I wanted to find out more about who, what, where and how these people got my name and address. I became very suspicious when I could not find a web site, email address or phone number. I was also concerned that to receive my winnings, I had to send a $23 registration fee.
My suspicions were confirmed when I received a phone call from my sister that same morning asking my advice about a letter she had received. The only difference between the two was who it was addressed to.
Please let others be aware of these rip-off merchants. What are the chances of winning if thousands are receiving the same letter?
