This company, CORECO FINANCIAL BENEFITS, offered to give a "Credit Building" credit card with a limit of $3000. They mention Equifax and GUARANTEED me that my credit report will be listed as A-1 credit within six months if I paid off my bill promptly when they came in.
When I was called by the service representative, I asked every question about the service and they guaranteed me everything was legitimate.
I agreed to the terms and conditions of the card and waited for the money to be taken from my account so I could recieve my card.
In that time, the customer service representative was extremely rude to me and we exchanged hostile words more than once. I ended up cancelling my whole account due to the way I was treated after I had agreed to the charges.
I was called back by a supervisor and I talked to her about how I was treated. She assured me that my account was cancelled and that she would repremand the customer service representative. I felt things had been done right by me, so I thanked her and put it in the back of my memory. That was November.
In March I recieved notice that Coreco went into my account and tried to withdrawal the 297.00 fee from November. They have done it twice so far.
To contact them, you have to call an answering service called Tigertell based in Montreal, Canada. They then fax my name and number to Coreco Customer care and we wait for their return call.
I have been calling for two weeks and have recieved one phone call in return. Once again, nothing but broken promises and no follow-up phone call.
My banks hands are also tied and they can do nothing. I unfortunately have to keep that account open due to the loan I have against that bank.
This company needs to be stopped! Any and all help will be appreciated.
