Gen X Promotions
Ripoff

Last year, I applied to an ad on Moster.com for Gen X Promotions. I went through everything mentioned by previous employees. WHAT A JOKE! When I quit, I informed Sherri about her lousy assistant manager who managed to hurl the "F" word 17 times in a 30 minute meeting with his "team".

We were required to travel to Columbus DAILY for sales of water coolers/water. There was no reimbursement for our travel. This became old very quickly. I have never worked for such a poor excuse for a company. The part that amazes me is the requirement to be so involved with these people! You were expected to attend all of the evening drinking events and every Saturday morning breakfast and then spend half of your day in the field.

After I left employment, I went back to pick up my check wearing jeans and a sweatshirt and was informed that I wasn't allowed to come back dressed like that. I was also informed my check would be mailed.in hindsight, I wish I had reported this company to the BBB and labor board.

I was expecting my tax forms to be mailed to me by January 31 (as per FEDERAL LAW) but it failed to arrive. When I called to ask about it I found a voice recording and a full voicemail box. I called for two weeks and heard the same thing. When I finally could leave a message, I did so. No phone call ever came back to me. I also called Sherry's cell number and left a message and again, no call back. I contacted Cydcor about this issue. They informed me that Gen-X was out of business (surprise) and I should call the accountants. When I called the accounting firm I was told that Brittany (Sherry's assistant) had taken over the books since September. I again called Cydcor and was told that my forms were sitting there in a stack with many other employees. When I asked why the forms weren't sent out by Cydcor the receptionist told me she didn't know. I have since tried to call Gen-X and found the number is disconnected.

Anyone who becomes involved with the cult-like company known as Cydcor is asking for trouble!

I would love to hear from some of the other former employees of Gen-X!
