I bought a hard drive because they offered a rebate. And this I never got.
I went through the sarcasm and mockery they threw at me every time I demanded the rebate, even until this day.
In exchanged I reported the problem to the CEO of Maxtor (manufacturer of the hard drive) who in turn reported that they know about the problem with this company, TigerDirect.com but they want me to follow through with more steps, instead of themselves taken care of this problem which affects their product sales.
It seems that there is no end to this "Marketing Gimmick".
I am approaching a radio station in Montreal to put this problem in the air.
