Sweepstakes Clearinghouse
They have been around long enough that grand-daughter & grandfather duped 14 years apart

Back in 1990, I paid Sweepstakes Clearinghouse for a stereo and never heard from them again until about seven years later when they tried to sell/award me something else. I asked them about the money they owed me for the original stereo and they tried to say I never paid them and that I owed them over a $1000 in layaway fees for this little cheap $149stereo! I told them to go screw themselves and wrote letters of complaint to the appropriate agencies.

Then in my grandfather bought some over-priced, cheap luggage from them. They then sent a notice saying we'd won a TV and just needed to pay S/H costs. Since, he wanted the TV, I sent them a check back on 8/24/04 -which they promptly cashed on 09/01/04. There;s been no word since. They don't respond and have not sent the TV either. Now, they want me to pay the expense of proving they didn't send the TV and have my money!
