Dear God:
Never ever get an AT&T Universal Credit Card. I obtained am AT&T Universal card for it's low-interest rate, but that 5.9% rate did not last long. Why? The company exploded my rate to 29.240% last month after I submitted a payment 2 hours past the 13:00h online deadline. The company charged me $251.95 in interest monies and late fees. Are you kidding me. I have perfect credit, yet the company said it is entitled to raise the cards' interest rate due to the "terms of the card."
Okay a 29.240% interest rate is insane. My response. I cancelled the card and all my other services with AT&T too. Not worth chancing another 29.240% interest rate or any other hidden company fees. Also, I'll call tomorrow to see if there is anything the company might be willing to do. Doubt it, but it's worth a shot.in the mean time, hopefully others will read this and perhaps reconsider holding a card from this company.
