After signing up for the FREE ifreinds account, that was FREE once again, i recieved a charge on my bank statement in the amount of 1 dollar.
This was expected as it was sort of stated in the miniature print so cleverly hiddin away with their very own customer protection and fraud statement. Well first of all "This amount might, or might not, appear on your bank statement" what? It might or might not? Well nevertheless it is a stated charge, fine. I agreed to that. As for the later part of the statement about the 6.95 for vip whatever, yeah i didnt sighn up for any of that. So this leads me to wonder where the 8.95 fee came from.
I signed up for a free account, paid a dollar to check things out or whatever then never even used it. Its what it is, a source of adult entertainment. However after seeing you had to pay people 200 dollars an hour to talk to them i quickly closed out the program and canceled my account. Good buisness tactic to get people in the door for free than have them pay for everything they do. But the thing is i didnt do anything! Yet was charged with an unauthorised fee!
So i called ifreinds first. Filtered through the options to the fee section. The "person" who answered very quickly told me to give him my info and what was the reason for calling. He then told me he was going to refund the charge yet gave no reason why i was charged? No answers as to why i was charged? Nope! Just a quick sorry we will refund your money and cancel you account.
Well im not cool with that. They would have kept on charging me if i wouldnt have done something. Not to mention at the time i only had 1.50 in my b.A. As you can guess the 8.95 fee came first which put me way underdrawn, then the one fee that i DID authorize putting me at an inredible $60 dollar overdraft fee!!! I am pis23d!!!
Only thing left to do i call the bank:) so they were very helpfull. They canceled my card issued a temp to me and will have the new one within a week. Refunded my money (temp.in acct. Untill monday when i go sign a doc) i also filled a fraudulent activity statement regarding this ifreinds scam. Called ifreinds back and told them what has been done.
Well they hung up on me:)
There are a lot of complaints about this company (or pack of cowards who hide behind a thousand email addresses) need to be stopped!
