Fraud, Ripoff took $79.95 a month for 2 months

This morning I called * to report fraudulent activity on our Account. Recently we noticed that on the 22nd of November and the 20th of December there was a charge of 79.95. The company posted on the account as SGADA.com with a number of 1-800-370-5021.

In calling SGADA on 12-30-04 I talked with the customer service rep by the name of Amy. I asked her why I was being charged 79.95 a month for something I do not remember buying or purchasing. She said she would need the first four digits and last four digits of the card being charged.

Being very skeptical of this company I refused giving the information she then said that her company does the transactions for several companies and would need the numbers to find out what one did it.

Realizing That I did in fact call last night and get the information (from the same company) with out providing my card number, I proceeded to call the company claiming to be New Healthy savings (646) 495-8107.

The representative Bob Mackenzie (spelling not known) asked for the dates the transaction took place. I told him the 22nd and the 20th Nov-Dec. He then asked how much was charged I told him 79.95. He asked for the name I explained it was*.

I asked him what this was he explained that this was a purchase for a discount medical expense card. I explained that we were a military family and our medical was free that we have no reason to have a discount medical card. He than said that they have a web site called unlimited music down loads and that if you go there and start downloading music on a free 30day trial then you are automatically charged and accept the New healthy Discount card after the 30day trial if indeed you do not cancel it.

Membership is 79.95 a month. He asked if we had received any e-mails concerning the membership. I told him that I never saw one. He then asked if we ever received the discount card in the mail. I said no. I told him I would like to cancel the membership. He was compliant with my request.

In my research I found that I was not the only one taken by this company but others who have asked to be taken off, the company said they would and then continued to charge them even after saying they would not.

If any one finds out any more information than what is here please let me know. I have already sent this off the the fraud department of my bank and expect a call any day now. I will post more if I find out there is more information that could be helpful to others.
