For more than a year now, Financing Alternatives, Inc. Have been debiting my bank account for a computer I never ordered. To date, they have stolen more than $1500.00 from my account and have caused me to have more than $500 in NSF charges. I have contacted them and asked that they refund my money as well as stop drafting my account every month. I spoke with a representative of Financing Alternative (named Shonta) who informed me that since I did not order the unit, I would need to file an "identity theft" complaint with the local police, forward the report number to them and they would send me a refund... That was more than a month ago. I still have not received my refund and they are still drafting money from my account. I even changed my account and they are still continuing to get money from my new account.
I have pleaded with them and tried to convince them that I did not order the computer, but they are apparently a bunch of lying thieves. I am battling cancer, bed confined, unable to sit up with support, and recently released from the hospital where I suffered a stroke. These people are making my life hell. I life on an extremely limited income (receiving only social security) and these people have stolen at least 4 months income from me.
Do not buy (or sign up to buy) a computer from these people because they will definitely rip you off and make your life miserable. I am in the process of hiring an attorney to get my money back. Although this company does not have any signed documents giving them permission to take money from my account, they are continuing to steal it from me. This company should be put out of business. They must be extremely desperate to steal from an elderly woman who is battling cancer and because of them I cannot buy all of my medications. I have tried to call them to get my money back but they continue to ignore me.
Please, please, please do not order a computer from them. But then again, I didn't and they are still taking my money.
