It all started when I thought I would receive a free laptop and all you needed to do is fill out a survey, which consisted of signing up for several trial offers. This one was from Boehm-Ritter and it was for a face cream. After going through several internet pages the last page requested me to sign up for a charge card but to receive the FREE laptop I needed to charge a certain amount on this new card.
After that last request I decided this was all a ripoff and canceled out of the site. BUT, problem was that the pages/sites that I had previously answered and signed up for were sent through. This one being Boehm-Ritter. I emailed them immediately saying that I did not wish to participate in this offer because I felt it was a ripoff and scam. I also stated that I would not receive the product and would immediately send back if it was shipped out to me.
The item was shipped to me and as stated I took to the post office and declined acceptance and had the box shipped back with a deliverly confirmation on my part.
I must admit they did give me a credit on my card for the shipping of $5.95, but the cost of the product was not credited to my account. I called their number on my charge card, but found it to be a person's answering service that gave me an 800# to call. I luckily have a speaker phone so holding for 30 minutes did not bother me before a representative came on the phone stating they would not refund/credit my charge card for the product. They said that I was not credited because I did not open the package and read their policies and send it back as they state.
Happy ending to this story is that I called my credit card company and they were kind enough to credit me for this rip off! They stated that they can not keep Boehm Ritter from applying another charge to my card, but I can call the credit card company again. Let's just cross our fingers that this mess has ended and I will not have to close out this credit card account due to this malicious company!
