Young man coming through our subdivision lying about living in the subdivision and trying to raise money for his soccer team's trip to hawaii. Suggestion made to "donate" purchased books to Boys and Girls Club in our area. Our subdivision's COPS alert system sent out an e-mail warning about this kid. Too late for me and others he scammed. Didn't live in subdivision, no donations made.
Alert to all who open doors to Ultimate Power Sales in Lawrenceville, Suwanee GA. Young kid goes around saying he lives in your subdivision and is trying to get points to pay for soccer team to go to Hawaii. Will suggest you make "donation" of your book purchase to local Boys & Girls Club which he will write on the receipt. Will say his mother volunteers at the club. Will say what kind of car he drives and asks if you have seen him in the neighborhood. Don't be fooled. Kid doesn't live in subdivision, no soccer team and no donations are made. They just take your check or cash and that is that.
