Low-Ball Offers, Liars

Beware! Don't be lured in by this company's LOW-BALL, BOGUS OFFERS. AppliancesConnection is unethical, if not fraudulant. AppliancesConnection lures you in with low-ball prices, takes your money right away, then repeatedly lies to you about bogus delivery dates & bogus offers in an attempt to keep you on the line. If you confront them, they cancel your order.

I ordered a microwave & became concerned 2 weeks later when I hadn't yet received it. Even though they explicitly told me that they do not charge credit cards before shipping product, they charged my credit card the very next day after ordering.

When I challenged them about prematurely charging my credit card, that's when bogus delivery dates began. When I further pushed the issue about not charging before delivery date, they lied & told me my credit card was charged because the microwave had been "allotted" & was ready to ship. When I confronted them about "true" shipping date, their reponse was that if I didn't like how they did business, then they would just cancel my order.

At that point, I asked to communicate with a supervisor, whom offered me a bogus free 10 yr. Warranty in order to keep my business. When I asked to see details of the 10 yr. Warranty, they sent notice that my order had been canceled.

I suspect that if I hadn't at that point disputed the charges with VISA, I might not have ever gotten a refund from AppliancesConnection. Their credibility was shot by then. Not had only did they lie about when they were going to charge my credit card, they lied about delivery dates, & a bogus 10 yr. Warranty.

It appears that AppliancesConnection lures in customers with unrealistic low-ball offers, takes their money right away, lies about their ability to deliver on product, leaving the customer to fight for a refund. Thank goodness I had used my VISA card so that I could ask for a chargeback from VISA; otherwise I wonder if I would have ever gotten my money back?

I wish I had done a better job of researching this company before I decided to buy. After the fact, I discovered complaints about this company all over the place. BBB rates AppliancesConnection as an F; there are several reports here on consumer complaints, as well as a string of other complaints on the internet. I was lucky that I caught on when I did & that VISA helped me.
