I called Affordable Appliance Sales & Service to repair a 3 year old Samsung refrigerator (purchased from Lowes) which had a freezer compartment that was not freezing. Mr. Gary Meyer, the busines owner came out on Sept. 7, and after a 1-1/2 wk delay to order the part, changed the main controller microprocessor boad and charged me $572.
The microprocessor board replacement did not fix the problem, in fact made no difference at all. After repeated promises that he was ordering another microprocessor board and would have it soon, he eventually stopped returning my phone calls. The last contact with him was October 29th in which he scheduled a service call for Thursday, Nov. 1st, for which he didn't show up. Further attempts to contact him have been unanswered (either into voice mail or the voice mailbox is full).
Specifically my complaint is that he represented to me that he serviced Samsung refrigerators, and that he had sources for parts, which are known to be difficult to obtain. I believe it is his obligation, having taken on the job, to either follow through and repair the refrigerator or provide some restitution, in the form of a refund.
