I bought a house from Home Creations in 2010 and I've had nothing but problems since day one. When I did my walkthrough, I was told that they would come back out and flatten my entire yard before I moved in because it was very bumpy. Moving day came around and nothing was ever done. That yard is the most pathetic ground I've ever walked on. It is so bumpy that you must watch every single step you take or you might end up on the ground. When I fell and injured myself and my neighbors had to come and pick me up off the ground, they informed me that their yard is just as bad. I have called Home Creations about it and all they did was blow me off.
The summer after I moved in to my house, the first storm we ever got blew part of my brand new fence down. Less than a month after I got that part put back up, the next storm blew another part of my fence down. If you look at the quality of the wood they use, it makes sense why it doesn't last through anything. All of the posts are practically split into two pieces because they're such low quality and the company didn't even put hardly any concrete around them to keep them up. When I contacted Home Creations about it, they never responded to me.
Later during my first summer in my house, one night I noticed that my dining room ceiling was dripping water onto my table and floor. I called the warranty number immediately and was told someone would be out the next day. They came out when I wasn't home and when they called me back, they said that my roof had a leak from storm damage and that I needed to contact my insurance company. The guy was very rude to me as well. Had they actually asked to go into the attic though, they would have realized immediately that it was actually a part that broke on my air conditioner that was covered under warranty! Nothing was wrong with my roof at all. After that was uncovered, then they were in a rush to fix the problem, but it was still hard to get the air conditioning company they use out to my house because they would never return my calls whenever I tried to contact them. Then I had to get the drywall redone in the multiple spots where the water leaked through. They had the most inept company do that work as well and they had to come out to my house twice just to get everything, and even then, it was still very obvious where the repair was done. Not one person ever went into the attic to make sure there was no mold there.
When I had been in my house 11 months, it was time to put in a request for my warranty work to be done. The guy just picked and chose what would actually be fixed and what he would ignore by making up some bogus excuse. I filled out this request 11 months ago and I'm still waiting for someone to come out and place some insulation where it was too thin, which I had revealed to me by an inspection company because I didn't trust Home Creations one bit. I don't even know how many times I called about it, but I gave up on it long ago because all they did was ignore me.
Now that my warranty is out, I still have nothing but problems with the worthless employees that they hire. Houses are being built around mine and they are constantly parking right in front of my mailbox, so I don't receive my mail. They'll also bring their big trucks and park them right in front of people's driveways, blocking them in. They leave their trash everywhere and it is constantly blowing in my yard. I've even caught someone from Home Creations throwing trash into my trash can that I hadn't pulled out of the street yet one morning. They also use the water from my faucet on my porch whenever they please without asking me. When they were building the roof on the house next to mine, they threw a ton of shingles into my yard and never picked up their mess until after I called and complained. My latest problem was when they had to dig a hole in my backyard and do something to the sewer line for the house being built behind me. I was told that my yard would be in exactly the same condition as before they touched it, which honestly doesn't say much, but they've managed to make things worse yet again. Now I have a big mound in my yard where the hole was dug and I've called multiple times to complain and still nobody has called me back. Apparently in this day and age, it's okay to just dig into someone's backyard and leave a mound of dirt behind instead of making it flush with the rest of the yard or plant seed where they killed the grass. Oh, and when they dug the hole, which was very deep and exposed for at least 2 weeks, they used my doghouse to cover the hole because their materials weren't big enough.
Home Creations is the most pathetic excuse for a company I have ever dealt with. This is completely unacceptable when you are spending more than $100K with them. They will make you all the promises in the world to get you to sign all the papers, but once you have officially bought the house, all of the problems become yours. If they don't want to deal with something, they will just take it upon themselves to ignore you until you stop calling. They also use the cheapest quality materials they can find, so that "high" quality home you spent all that money on will do nothing but fall apart, and it happens very quickly. Stay as far away from this company as you can or else you too will make the worst mistake of your life.
