This "mill direct to you" interior flooring company sent samples of their flooring I was interested in at my expense. The first samples were not what I asked for. The second set of samples was exactly what I wanted. I contaded them by phone for a bid on the flooring materials including moldings and stair treads. They would not accept charge cards for payment in full, cashiers'checks take 10 days to clear, so in order to get my order I had to wire the funds. Over $5100.00 worth. The receipt of my money was confirmed by fax.
That was on June 2. Every week thereafter (they said it would take 3 to 4 weeks, but not longer than 6 weeks to receive my order) I check their online tracking and each weekd the advice is "the mil (sic) has informed us that they will be shipping you order sometime this week.". After 12 weeks of email and online live chats, phone calls, and being hung up upon, I realized that I have been had.
The BBB shows that they are not a member and that they have received complaints (which you can't read) paraphrased under an umbrella comment of receiving a pattern or complaints of non-delivery. The Secretary of State of Nevada shows no incorporation, but "whois" shows the domain name belonging to Richard Miller in Las Vegas. The letterhead show Portland, Oregon, and all phone numbers are toll free. Very strange.
