A few months ago I had a septic system back up in the basement there in all was about 4 inches of sewage and it was not only on the unfinished floor but it was also on the carpeted part of the floor. I made a phone call to HomeServ and everything was set up. We had someone come to the house within a couple of hours to look at the mess and clean it up. The first step was to remove all of the sewage from the basement. That needed to be done before anything else could happen. After that carpet was removed and thrown out in the alley. After these few steps the technician began sanitizing the floors and everything else that was affected. The fact that this happened the same day as the disaster occurred is great and is very promising. I now know if I have an emergency like this I will be able to get a response the same day for this to be looked at. After everything was finished there was no sign that anything had happened. The smell was gone and so was all of the sewer water. HomeServ responded quickly and did a great job when they got to the house. Definitely call HomeServ if you have something like this happen, which I hope you never do, but I would guess that if you are reading this then you probably are having this issue so I just want to tell you, call HomeServ they are great.
