On Oct 16, at the Sacramento Home and Garden Show at Cal Expo, I purchased a Dual Recliner backyard swing from a company called Comfort Solutions/Serenity Swings. The salesman, Alan Westphal, and the company are from Boise, Idaho. The product seemed very substantial and worthy of the rather large price tag. The salesman offered a 5% discount for cash so I wrote him a check for $1425.00, which was cashed 4 days later.
The swing wasn't going to be delivered for 2-3 weeks but when a month had gone by and I hadn't heard from Alan Westphal, I started calling him and the company. I made many calls but a lot of the time the "mailbox was full" and I couldn't even leave a message. My emails to the company and phone messages went unanswered.
I contacted the Better Business Bureau in Boise and they told me that Comfort Solutions/Serenity Swings had an "F" rating with several complaints.
Please learn from my BIG mistake. Don't get ripped off by Alan Westphal and Serenity Swings.
